Planned platform downtime: Sunday 6 December 2026 00:15-05:15 GMT

Scheduled for Dec 6, 00:15 - 05:15 GMT

Scheduled

Like any payments platform, we occasionally need planned maintenance to keep core infrastructure secure and supported, so that we can keep delivering 99.99% platform availability. In order to continue improving our payments automation platform, we are carrying out a planned upgrade to our platform database. During the upgrade, the Modulr platform will be unavailable and you will experience the following:

- API calls to our endpoints will be unsuccessful during this maintenance period and return 500 responses.
- Our Customer Portal access will be unavailable.
- All our services, including our payment services, will be unavailable.

When
Sunday 6 December 2026, from 00:15 to 05:15 GMT. The work may take up to five hours, and we will post updates on our Status Page: https://status.modulrfinance.com

Why we are doing this
This upgrade helps keep our platform secure and enhances performance. We have scheduled it for the early hours of a Sunday to keep the impact as small as possible.

Please find some helpful Frequently Asked Questions regarding this maintenance below.

Will the outage last for the whole 5 hours?
We aim to complete the maintenance well within the timeframe. Updates will be posted on our Status Page: https://status.modulrfinance.com

Can we send API calls during this time?
API calls will receive a 500 response. If your platform can replay messages that got this response, we would like to encourage you to do so. Your API calls will succeed as soon as the platform is back online, so you don't need to take any manual intervention.

What happens to any API calls that receive a 500 response?
You can safely retry any API calls that receive a 500 response.

Can we send payments during this time?
No, all outbound payment services will be unavailable during this time.

Will inbound payments be accepted during this time?
Faster Payments sent to Modulr accounts during this period will be applied once maintenance concludes. We will be unable to apply SEPA payments sent to Modulr accounts. During this period, all SEPA payments attempting to pay Modulr accounts will be unsuccessful. As the maintenance window is taking place over the weekend, our other supported inbound payment types (CHAPS, DD, SEPA Credit Transfer) are unaffected, as they do not deposit during the weekend.

Will card authorisations be processed during this time?
No, all card authorisations will be unsuccessful.

Will Confirmation of Payee or Payment Initiation services be available?
No, all inbound and outbound Confirmation of Payee and Payment Initiation requests will be unsuccessful. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
